Shree Paramhans Swami Madhavanand College

Under the guidance of the world reknowned Yoga Master Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranand Ji Maharaj, Shree Paramhans Swami Madhavanand College was established in 2007 with the aim of offering courses in Yoga, Naturopathy and the ancient Indian sciences of Astrology, Sanskrit and Vedic Science.
The College is currently offering three year degree and one year diploma courses in Yoga and Naturopathy as well as three year degree courses in Arts. The College is affiliated with Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer for the above courses.
Situated within an Ashram campus in village India, with a total area of around 300 acres, the centre has it’s own dairy, vegetable gardens and water supply ensuring that all food is organic and fresh. Residents in the Ashram study in the college as well as helping with the day to day activities within the campus. In the evening residents participate in spiritual and cultural programs as well as receiving the teachings of Swamiji Maharaj.
Admissions are available for both local and foreign students with courses available in both English and Hindi mediums. Foreign students will also be required to learn Hindi as part of the course and participate in teaching of Yoga in surrounding areas.
Courses run from 15th July until the middle of May each year.
The following courses will be running in Jadan in the year 2009-10, starting in July 2009.

a. Duration of the course: 3 years
b. Nature of study: Full time
c. Subjects in the course:
1. FIRST YEAR:
a. Basic Principles of Yoga
b. Human Biology
c. Indian Epics
d. General Hindi or General English
e. Elementary Computer Applications
f. Environmental Studies
2. SECOND YEAR
a. Basic Principals of Yoga Therapy
b. Yoga and Spirituality
c. Orientation to Yoga Texts
3. THIRD YEAR
a. Consciousness and Yoga Research
b. Stress Management
c. Nature Cure – Methods and Practice
d. The course also involves practical components and treatment of patients with Yoga Therapy
e. Eligibility: Passing of Senior Secondary Examinations (10+2) or it’s equivalent.
f. Course fees:
i. Indian national: 9000/year
ii. Foreign nationals: 34000/year
g. Boarding and lodging facilities:
i. For foreign students accommodation is available in the Ashram. Residential students will be expected to do a minimum of four (4) hours of karma yoga per day as a part of the syllabus.
ii. Accomodation is on a share basis with the number of students per room depending on demand and seasonal variations.
iii. Cost of boarding and lodging:
a. 7 euros/day
h. College timings:
i. The sessions are running from July 10th until early May. There is a break of 15 days in
October/November (Deepwali).
ii. The college runs from Monday to Saturday.
iii. Lecture timings will vary according to the need of the course and students.
i. Lectures will be given in either Hindi or English depending on the needs of the students.
2. Diploma of Yoga Education and Human Science
a. Duration of the course: 1 year
b. Nature of study: Full time
c. Subjects in the course:
a. Foundation of Yoga and it’s application
b. Concept of Health, Yoga Therapy and Naturopathy. Principal and Practice
c. Anatomy and Physiology
d. Yoga Therapy for Common Ailments
e. Sanskrit and Bhagwad Gita
f. Yoga Therapy through Patanjali Yoga Sutra, Yoga Vashishta and Hatha Yoga
d. The course also involves practical components and treatment of patients with Yoga Therapy
e. Eligibility: Passing of Senior Secondary Examinations (10+2) and a Bachelor’s Degree or it’s equivalent 3 years course.
f. Course fees:
i. Indian national: 8150/year
ii. Foreign nationals: 32000/year
g. Boarding and lodging facilities:
